Stop posting pictures of your baby on Facebook

We’ve all have those friends. It’s like some maternal/paternal instinct kicks in overdrive to make us post our baby pictures everywhere. Next up, my kid the YouTube reality star. My kid is so cute you’ll thank me for it! Just wait until you see the next picture of my baby’s smile, laugh, sleep, and mess.

But really it’s not that cute.

“None of these white babies are funny,” commented Oldscaf. I’m not sure what race has to do with it, but more than half the comments are negative on the Top 5 Funny Kid video seen more than two and a half million times. “I must have missed them while I was being bored watching some unfunny video,” added htimsanit. And maybe these viewers miss the point as ESTYEAR2012 reminds the haters, “There are a lot of crazy angry people commenting on this video who forgot what it was like to be a kid. That’s the great thing about this video, it shows the funny innocent side of human beings as children.”

So while the YouTube comment sphere debates the video’s merit, an overwhelming truth emerges. Unless it’s your kid, you’ve got a kid a similar age or you are just one of those people who adores looking at cute babies – hey, we all have our obsessions – then be considerate of your Facebook friends and post sparingly. Or, for the baby obsessed, post those pictures at http://www.reddit.com/r/aww/
